The RESA requires candidates to submit their own authentic work in the form of instructional evidence and their own reflections on their practice in responses to task forms. In the scoring of the 2014-2015 RESA, it was determined that additional guidance was required on this subject for candidates who are co-teachers with other RESA candidates to reinforce the submission of an individual’s authentic work, and to prevent candidates from submitting duplicate task evidence, responses to task forms and otherwise collaborating on their RESA submissions. As a result, in September 2015, the Ohio Department of Education and Educopia have added explicit requirements in the 2015-2016 RESA Instrument and the 2015-2016 Participant Guide for candidates who are co-teachers with other RESA candidates.
Recognizing that many candidates may have already printed out these documents, Educopia created a separate addendum called Guidance for Co-teachers that includes the revisions to both documents.
If after reviewing this information you still have questions about co-teaching and the RESA, please contact the RESA Help Desk at (855) 538-8634, Monday – Friday, 2PM – 10PM EST or at resa@educopia.com.
Thanks!
